Q
What is Plastidip?
A
From the words of the creator of Plasti Dip:
"Speciality flexible, rubberized and protective coating"
Q
Can it be removed?
A
Yes indeedy, the dip can be pealed off very simply without leaving any residue or damage to the paint underneath...truly versatile stuff!
Q
Can you come to me and spray my car?
A
Yes! To make this a simpler process for you it is possible under some circumstances for us to come to you and spray your car, wheels or panel. We do ask that there is enough room for the spray booth to be erected and no animals in the vicinity.
Q
How do I wash a dipped car?A
Simply with hot water! That's it. You can use a jet wash if you wish but the more wear and tear the coating takes the shorter it's life.
You can also buy a foam cleaner which we will be stocking soon.
Q
How long does Plasti Dip last?
A
Plasti Dip themselves say 5 years. We say 12 months to three years depending on how much abuse it gets. Take it offroading and it'll wear down faster than a town car that is washed in warm water once a week and rarely see's anything other than smog and road grime.
Q
How long does it take to dip?
A
We ideally ask that you allow 48 hours for the dip to cure to a satisfactory level.
For example:
drop off Monday night, we dip it Monday day, it cures over night, you pick up Wednesday morning.
Q
Do I need to do anything to my car before the dip?
A
We ask that whatever you want dipped is cleaned and dried without any product on the paint the day/night before the dip.
